Those who have downloaded the Windows 8 Consumer Preview have already been trying out the upcoming version of Internet Explorer, Internet Explorer 10. For us developers, though, this is the time be thinking about how we prepare our sites for Internet Explorer 10.
This short video talks about the recent updates made to the Internet Explorer Developer Center and goes through some of the things that you can do right now to be ahead and be compatible with Internet Explorer 10. Check it out.
4 Things To Do Today to Be Ahead and Be Compatible
- Update your docmode for web standards
- Run Compat Inspector to fix common IE problems
- Implement feature detection to support many browsers (We recommend using Modernizr)
- Create a plugin free browsing experience for Windows 8 users.
For some humour related to Internet Explorer, check out The Browser You Loved To Hate. It’s a site dedicated to how people are starting to think of Internet Explorer differently. What makes it humourous though are the quotes, videos, and some of the inforagraphs.
