I (Heart) WinDev: WPF Application Quality Guide v0.4

Yesterday, the folks at WindowsClient.NET posted an update to the WPF Application Quality Guide, a document that provides an overview of testing Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) applications and controls. The document is intended for developers, testers, and vendors who use Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF). You can download a copy of this guide here (Word document, 1.31 MB).

Overall, I believe v0.4 of the WPF Application Quality Guide is a good start towards becoming an essential resource for developers who are building Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) applications. It provides contextual information around things you should think about when testing your Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) applications and controls by identifying several software engineering “personas” and provides a suggested roadmap to follow for each of them. Also, it encourages you to think about all testable aspects of your Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) applications and controls, which include accessibility, globalization, security, and performance.

There’s a lot to like about the WPF Application Quality Guide. And, like a lot of things in life, there’s room for improvement. That’s why we want to hear from you. Got some feedback that you’d like to share? Drop the team a line at wpftbest@microsoft.com and/or please feel free to add a comment.
