[Academic] Canada takes first place at Imagine Cup

Hello everyone.

Just wanted to let you know about a piece of great news from back in August that may not have had enough air time in my opinion. A delegation of students from Canada went to the Microsoft Imagine Cup in India and one of the team won first place in the short film category. Here's a message from Daniel Shapiro of Microsoft who accompanied them:

"I was in India with 6 Canadian students competing in this years Imagine Cup.  The 6 students represent 2 teams including 1 Software Design Team  and 1 Short Film Team.  Even though the Software Design Team competed very strongly with great feedback, they did not place in the top 3 spots this year.  Our Short Film Team, however did in fact achieve 1st Place Overall for their 2 Short Films!

(The teams created 2 films, 1 which earned them the spot in the final 6 here in India and 1 that was filmed over 24 hours in India.  Check out my first film appearance in Film 2.)
