I spoke at the Portland User Group in Oregon last night, and what a great group of folks! I spoke for over two hours on the improvements in SQL Server 2008 for the Developer. As I spoke it reminded me that all over the world, people meet to talk about technology. It is this kind of interaction that grows the industry, and makes us all better at our jobs.
If you’re not in an active user group, join one. If it’s not very good, make it better. Volunteer to speak, send out reminders, help out somehow. If there’s no group in your area, start one. If you don’t know how to do that, contact PASS, and ask for help.
