You might not be aware of it, because the press doesn’t often have good things to say about, well, anything, but Microsoft is a very “green” company. Even our campus is an environmentally friendly place, and we’ve made several lists for being a green place to work. Almost everything in our breakroom is now compostable (cups, flatware, containers, plates, etc.) or recyclable, and we have recycle bins in every office and room.
But it doesn’t stop there. We’ve actually introduced a new site that will showcase the power of software to help the environment. Check it out at http://www.microsoft.com/environment. We have put a lot of work into developing the new web content for students, government, NGOs, BDMs, TDMs, consumers, and partners who are interested in our company’s commitment to environmental sustainability. We hope this resource would be of use to you – especially as it pertains to the power of software to sustain the environment.
