Open Source Vulnerability Database is Live

I saw on Computerworld that the OSVDB (Open Source Vulnerability Database) went public recently. Here's a link:

OSVDB is an independent and open source database created by and for the community. Our goal is to provide accurate, detailed, current, and unbiased technical information.

    I assume then that it means the database is Open Source because Weblogic and Windows are on the front page ?:}

    Yeah, I would agree that this thing isn’t probably named properly. This page has some more information about their project:

    This looks to me like information that is usually tracked through one of the security mailing lists. (maybe without so much noise.) I don’t really have an opinion on this one way or another. It’s just a potential security resouce that I wanted to pass on.
