Update from XML 2005 conference

Well, I'm here at the XML conference and so far it's been a lot of fun. There are a number of different tracks covered at the conference, and it's really fun to see all the things people have been up to or are thinking about. I'm getting ready to head up to a panel discussion on XML authoring that starts in about 5 minutes. There will be folks that have built XML authoring solutions using a number of different tools. Should be really interesting.

Tonight at 7:30 there is a town hall meeting on XML Document formats that I'm definitely going to attend. It should be a really interesting discussion. I'm not sure who's going to be there and what formats will be represented, but I'm really looking forward to it!

Tomorrow morning at 9:45 I'm presenting on the new Microsoft Office Open XML Formats that we're releasing with Office '12'. The session only lasts about 45 minutes, so I'm still trying to figure out how to trim back my demos so that I can fit them in. Unfortunately, I'm probably just going to have to skip a couple of them. Tomorrow's my last day here, and then I head home. Unfortunately my wife wasn't able to make the trip out with me and the hotel room feels a bit lonely, so I'll be happy to get back home.

If you're here for the conference, please try to swing by and say hello.
