  1. Thanks for the links!

    One small anomaly/curiosity:

I downloaded the PPT "C# 3.0: Future Directions in Language Innovation" and then tried to open it in PowerPoint 2007 but I got this error: "The printer Microsoft XPS Document Writer cannot be found"…

The Printer Spooler service is set to manual (I have no printer) and that is why I get this message. Other ppt files I have work correctly thought. What kind of black voodoo magic makes it mandatory to have a printer to open a powerpoint presentation file?

  2. BradA says:

Sorry, I no idea… I tried it out for one of the other talks and it worked fine… XPS is part of .NET Framework 3.0, could you try installing that?

    Are others hitting this issue?

  3. Prog says:

  4. Thanks Brad for the suggestion, but .NET 3.0 is already installed on my laptop. Anyway, this is not an issue at all for me, I just started the service and that was the end of it. Just a curiosity about maybe an unecessary dependency 😉
