The SLAR and .NET Framework 2.0

I was recently asked by my publisher and by a reader of this blog if the SLAR is still applicable given the upcoming release of the .NET Framework 2.0. The answer is, of course, yes. All of the types we cover in the SLAR are still the most used types even once V2.0 comes out. All of the annotations in SLAR were done by the development team while we were building V2.0, so many of them point you in the right long term direction. In addition, I am making sure all the samples work correctly on Whidbey.

We are not, however, providing any V2.0 specific content in this book... I would like to do that in the future, but I think we need time and experience with the platform before we can provide the kinds of reflective annotations I'd like to on the new material.

Hope that helps.
