Real Frameworks for a Service-Oriented World
In this paper, we will discuss the enterprise grade Capgemini Integrated Architecture Framework (IAF), the Capgemini Development and Architectural Framework (CDAF) Architectural Reference Model, and the associated toolset for the Microsoft technology stack, including the Messaging and Service Framework (MeSH). Even if you don't use these tools or methodologies, we hope this article will at least be thought-provoking and get a few more of us thinking along these lines.
Consumer-Driven Contracts: A Service Evolution Pattern
This article describes some of the coupling issues that arise when service providers change parts of their contract, particularly document schemas, and two well-understood strategies -- adding schema extension points and performing "just enough" validation of received messages -- for mitigating such issues.

Using the latest Microsoft technologies such as .NET Framework 3.0 and SQL Server 2005, LitwareHR implements single-instance multi-tenancy patterns. The goals of LitwareHR are to be the embodiment of our SaaS architecture guidance and to demonstrate how to use Microsoft technologies in the creation of SaaS solutions.
