Windows Azure HDInsight 正式提供開始

Windows Azure 上で Apache Hadoop によるビックデータ分析機能を提供する Windows Azure HDInsight が正式提供開始となりました。

クラウドを活用することで、クラスタ作成にかかっていた時間を数分に短縮でき、必要なサーバーリソースをすぐに調達できます。データを保持したまま、より大きなクラスターを再作成することも可能です。また、Secure Node により Hadoop クラスターは保護されており、PowerShell による Hadoop クラスターの管理が可能です。

.NET 言語や Java、その他の言語にも対応し、.NET では Hive へのアクセスに LINQ (LINQ to Hive) も利用できます。

分析結果は Microsoft Office から PowerPivot、Power View などにより抽出できます。また、Power Query により HDInsight と他のデータを統合でき、Excel の Power Map や 3D Mapping を利用して、データを地図上にマッピングして表示できます。
