Django が Windows Azure Web サイトのギャラリーに追加

Python の Web アプリケーションフレームワークである Django が Window Azure Web サイト のギャラリーに追加されました。Windows Azure Web サイトのギャラリーテンプレートで Django を選択でき、Web サイト側にパッケージがインストールされた形で、すぐに利用できます。

Windows Azure クラウドサービス で Python / Django を利用する場合は、Windows Azure 用ライブラリやコマンドラインツール、PowerShell、エミュレーターが含まれた Windows Azure SDK for Python、Visual Studio のプラグインである Python Tools for Visual Studio (CodePlex で無償公開) を利用することで、容易に開発を行うことができます。

 

Windows Azure Web サイトで Django を使うには、新規作成の際に「ギャラリーから作成」を選択、URL を指定して作成します。

  

Python, Django の必要なリソースがインストールされた状態から利用できます。

 

Windows Azure SDK および Python Tools をインストールすると、Visual Studio に用意されている Windows Azure クラウドサービス用の Python アプリケーションテンプレートが Django を含めて利用できます。

 

作成したアプリケーションは ローカルのエミュレーターでデバッグ確認できます。

 

Visual Studio から Windows Azure クラウドサービスに直接配置できます。
