Windows Azure モバイルサービスが Android に対応

Windows Azure でスマートフォン / マルチデバイス向けアプリを容易に作成できる Windows Azure モバイルサービスが Android に対応しました。

Windows Azure モバイルサービスは Windows Azure 上でスマートフォン / マルチデバイス向けアプリケーションをホストできるプラットフォームであり、Windows Azure SQL データベースへデータを保存、更新するといった一連の操作が予め設定されたアプリケーションテンプレートを使って アプリケーション開発の期間を短縮できます。Windows ストア (Windows 8 向け)、Windows Phone 8、iOS(iPhone / iOS) には対応済みとなっており、Android では Eclipse のスタートプロジェクトとして用意されています。

Android 2.2 以上に対応 (SDK は4.4 以上対応のものをご利用ください)、他のデバイス向けアプリと同様に、ユーザー認証やプッシュ通知を数行で追加できます。ユーザー認証では 他のデバイス向けと同様に Microsoft アカウント、Facebook / Twitter / Google ログインが利用できます。また、プッシュ通知は Google Cloud Messaging (GCM) サービスを利用します。

なお、モバイルサービスが 東アジアのデータセンターでもサービス開始となっています。
