Innovation is now on the top of the national agenda. The recent $1 billion ministerial innovation vision gives the digital ecosystem the opportunity to re-energise itself. The iAwards provide a gateway for technological innovators to play a major role in making Australia a global innovation leader.
Hosted by the AIIA, the iAwards encourages nominations from all sectors of the Australian economy, including corporate, research, academia, students, government and start-ups. Joint nominations are also encouraged. The award categories reflect the ongoing changes in technology and provide applicants with a focus on the key purpose or market for the nominated innovation.
This year for the first time, a substantial benefits programhas been developed for nominees. This includes:
- Support during the nominations phase
- Visibility to high profile judges
- The opportunity to test your innovation against best practice
- The opportunity to build your network within the industry
- PR support to generate media coverage
- Access to industry reports from providers such as KPMG and Grant Thornton
The iAwards are judged by the ICT industry, academia and the research and development sector. As a nominee, you are competing with your peers but importantly, you are also building brand awareness within the industry.
The iAwards is the only international technology awards program in Australia and winners and merit recipients may have the opportunity to compete with businesses from across the Asia Pacific region at the APICTA Awards (Asia Pacific ICT Awards) in December 2016. This in itself creates enormous networking and profiling opportunities, as well as the chance to see the world!
