Announcing the release of version 9 of the Bing Ads API

Version 9 of the Bing Ads API is now generally available. This API will bring with it new functionality and improvements to existing features across Bing Ads web services including

It should be noted that version 9 of the customer billing and customer management APIs are currently available only in the sandbox environment. These will become generally available next month.

With the release of v9 of the Bing Ads API, the v8 API is now deprecated and will be sunset on June 1st 2014. We highly recommend that developers start now in reviewing the migration guide from v8 to v9 so that the changes are understood and plans can be made to transition to the new version of the API well ahead of the sunset deadline.

We also encourage developers to review our updated code samples and to use the developer forums as a resource to get any questions about the published documents answered.

    Regarding your last bullet ("Support for authenticating users who have linked their Bing Ads accounts with a Microsoft account using OAuth 2.0."), does this mean that "Bing Ads Accounts" will be phased out in favor of Microsoft Accounts in the near future?

    What is the roadmap in the area of Accounts with Bing and Microsoft?

    @BertC,

    Bing Ads accounts will be phased out in preference to Microsoft accounts in the future. We haven't published an explicit timeline for when the transition will be completed but have started the process. please see community.bingads.microsoft.com/…/starting-today-using-a-microsoft-account-will-be-the-preferred-way-to-sign-in-to-bing-ads.aspx for more information.
