Webcast Thursday, Aug. 20, 1 PM Pacific time: adCenter API Live Meeting Schedule

Our next webcast on API v6 is scheduled Thursday, Aug. 20, 1 p.m. Pacific time.  Please watch our blog and forums for updates on future webcast.

As the team rolls out the spring update for adCenter and the new version of the API, our adCenter API Live Meetings with the development team will resume .

Below is a recording of our June 3 webcast. This has not been edited. I'll update it with an edited version soon.

Meanwhile, please skip to the 14-minute mark where the presentation starts to avoid the setup phone chatter and dial tones.

Webcast sessions are scheduled at 1 P.M. Pacific time on the following dates:

  • September 16
  • October 21

These sessions provide an excellent opportunity for developers and business customers to learn about the API changes and to ask questions of the product team about the adCenter API. If you have requests or questions that you would like to see covered in one of these sessions, please post in the comments below or in the adCenter API Forum.

If you have not used Live Meeting before, we recommend visiting API Live Meeting before the session begins to complete any required installation steps.

To attend the live meeting session, use this URL: https://www.livemeeting.com/cc/microsoft/join?id=ADCAPI&role=attend

API Version 6 is now available and all users must upgrade in the coming months. We recommend that you familiarize yourself with the new features and plan to upgrade your WSDLs. In the upcoming weeks,

We will continue to support Version 5.1 for up to six months, and we will provide more information about its sunset in the coming weeks.

    Hi Chris,

Is there a comprehensive diff somewhere?  I see that the Release Notes present a high level overview of the changes that were made, but I haven't been able to find documentation at the data object level that shows changes across versions (to indicate, for example, that CountryTarget data object no longer has a TargetAllCountries boolean).  I know that we can find these differences by manually comparing the complete 5.1 documentation against the complete 6.0 docs, but it would be very helpful if there was something that highlighted these sorts of changes.

    Thanks Michael,

I'll ask the doc teams if this is available.

The program manager in these webcasts has focused on the changes at this level, so this may be a good resource in 2 weeks. For that, we can also gather the info and make it available on the blog. I'll ask the docs team to reply or post back shortly.

Sorry, but we do not have a comprehensive list of the changes that were made to the API.

We still cannot talk to anyone about getting access to AdCenter API.  Check out our website and let me know how we can talk to anyone in Microsoft about api access.

The adCenter API is currently in a pilot phase.  As such, you would need to be in managed service with Microsoft Advertising in order to qualify for the pilot.  If you already do have an adCenter account or are in managed service, then please reach out to your Microsoft Advertising service representative for more information on getting access.  If you, do not have an adCenter account, please feel free to email me via this site for more information.

Thanks for your note.  The adCenter API is still in a Pilot Status.  As such, it is only open to those who have an account in managed service with Microsoft Advertising.  If you already have an account with in managed service Microsoft Advertising then you can reach out to your account team for more information on how to get into the pilot.  If you do NOT have an account in managed service with Microsoft Advertising, please use the email function within the site to get in contact with me directly.
