Developing for the Microsoft Smart Watch

Some fellow bloggers have recently pointed out that MSN Direct is looking for some creative developers to build applications for the Microsoft Smart Watch (the SPOT watch). Channel 9 even has a video about the SPOT watch. Thanks to mikehall for pointing this out on his blog.

Regarding the applications that you (the cool developer) can build: Users will download a new application in one of the following ways:

· PC Channel. The application and any related data is downloaded to the watch using a USB cable connected to the user’s PC.

· Over-the-air (OTA). The application is downloaded to the watch using the DirectBand network. Following the download, this standalone application (for example, a game or watch face) does not require any additional data from the network.

See https://msndirect.com/community/developer.htm for all the details.
