Great ASP.NET 2.0 Book from WROX – Professional ASP.NET 2.0

WROX has just published one of the first (if not the first) ASP.NET 2.0 books -- it is a solid one, Professional ASP.NET 2.0 and I reccommend to anyone who is serious about working with VS 2005 and ASP.NET 2.0 -- Bill Evjen, Scott Hanselman, Farhan Muhammad, Devin Rader, Srinivasa Sivakumar all did a fantastic job putting together a great read with easy to understand examples and high-quality guidance.  This is a must-have for every ASP.NET developers bookshelf (I already have 2 on mine :))

You can buy it on amazon today:

Also - -if you are just getting started with ASP.NET 2.0, the Beginning ASP.NET 2.0 book by another all-star crew (Chris Hart, John Kauffman, David Sussman, Chris Ullman) is also available from Amazon and is a great way to get your feet wet.

My hats off to the authors of these great books -- keep em coming!

  1. I may have "Professional ASP.NET 2.0" waiting at home when I get there. I have already been reading "Pro ASP.NET 2.0 in C# 2005" by Matthew MacDonald and Mario Szpuszta. It is really pretty good. I hope to get through both and write a review on them in my blog next week.

The first ASP.NET 2.0 book was "Pro ASP.NET with C# 2005", publisher Apress books. Good read, as I’m sure the Wrox title is too. I enjoy both publishers.

  3. John Kauffman says:

We also have a book for beginners focused on using ASP.NET 2.0 with databases. This is written in the same style as my last books on ASP and databases – a hands-on guide through solving real business problems. This title had significant input from the Microsoft developers, including a close reading and test of all code and extensive input on best practices in light of the underlying code and the future directions of the product.

The current book is based on the Beta release of 2.0 and a final edition book will come soon.

I am chinese,ASP.NET 2.0 is amazing!I have read "ASP.NET 2.0 Revealed" but when this book is published in china .NET Framework 2.0’s version is beta, there are some differeces between. I just can see how ASP.NET 2.0 works and what it can do favor for me. I want to see in, but these books you had referenced havn’t published in china yet. How I can get them? Or you can tell me something about them? Thank you very much!
