Removing Errors In Data Explorer

If you step through my previous post about Netflix + Rotten Tomatoes and try to recreate it, you might notice a couple things that I skipped. In my particular queue, I have some TV series. Rotten Tomatoes doesn’t return any search results. This results in a little yellow error icon in the preview for some rows.

We’re working on adding better support for dealing with errors in your document. In this case, I’m fine with filtering out those rows and it turns out that I can just write a filter formula to do that.

In addition to the TV show titles, there are some titles which don’t have a Critics score. Those situations show up as a score of –1. For those entries, I used the Replace Values task to replace it with the Audience score. The formula looks like this…
