Nicer looking demos in the DeviceEmulator with ClearType and Zoom2x

Three quick things can make demos on the DeviceEmulator look much nicer:

 

  1. Enable ClearType.  Go to Start/Settings, then switch to the System tab and tap on the Screen applet.  Switch to the ClearType tab and check the "Enable ClearType" checkbox.  The results look great on laptops and PCs with LCD displays, and respectable on CRT displays.
  2. Zoom the emulator 2x.  Use the emulator's File/Configure dialog and in the display tab, check "Zoom 2x".  You may also want to disable the skin to conserve screen real estate.
  3. Use the PocketPC VGA emulator images - they render at VGA resolution (480x640) instead of the default 240x320.
