    Dear Rob,

thank you for your webcast. Meanwhile I have tried to compile some code of myself.

I have set up a Virtual PC with Windows XP and any current patch.

Afterwards I have installed .NET 3.5. I have visited http://silverlight.net/GetStarted/ and so I have installed

    • Microsoft Silverlight 1.0 Release Candidate – Windows
    • Microsoft Silverlight 1.1 Alpha Refresh –  Windows

    • Microsoft ASP.NET Futures (July 2007)

    • Microsoft Silverlight Tools Alpha Refresh for Visual Studio (July 2007)

    and the SDK

Now I was able to start VS2008 and create a new Silverlightproject. I just wanted to compile the new project but failed!

    I got

The referenced component ‘agclr’ could not be found.

The referenced component ‘mscorlib’ could not be found.

The referenced component ‘system’ could not be found.

The referenced component ‘System.Core’ could not be found.

The referenced component ‘system.Xml.core’ could not be found.

The referenced component ‘system.silverlight’ could not be found.

I tried to delete the reference and set them to programme/microsoft silverlight manually but nothing changes.

    Can you help me? thankx

AO_CX:  Are you using Orcas Beta 2?  Did you uninstall any previous versions of Orcas first?

    http://silverlight.net/forums/t/3491.aspx told me the solution:

There was a bug in the first Alpha Refresh. After I have installed the "new" Alpha Refresh everything works fine.
