In support of National Cybersecurity Awareness Month, sponsored by the Department of Homeland Security, we invite you to RSVP and join us for a special edition Microsoft Azure Government Meetup, Women Leading Government Cybersecurity, Wednesday, Oct. 24 from 6 – 8:30 p.m., at 1776 in Washington, DC.

All are welcome to this free event, which is in partnership with the Women in Technology DC Chapter of the International Association of Microsoft Channel Partners. We’re bringing an exciting panel of cyber professionals to share insight and discuss:

  • Today’s cybersecurity landscape in government and top priorities
  • Best practices in cybersecurity along with challenges and lessons learned
  • Future of cybersecurity in government and the cyber workforce

We’ll wrap up the evening with a security demo along with Q&A and post-event networking opportunities.

About the Azure Gov Meetup The Azure Gov DC User Community was created as a place to bring together professionals interested in learning about government innovation especially around cloud computing technologies and capabilities. Events are free and open to the community and provide a non-sales environment with a goal of sharing best practices.

It was launched in February 2016 by Karina Homme, Azure Government, Microsoft; and Vishwas Lele, CTO of AIS and Microsoft Azure MVP. The community hosts Meetups monthly at 1776 and draws an average of 80 government and industry attendees per event. We also live broadcast, reaching an additional 200+ people.

About International Association of Microsoft Channel Partners (IAMCP), Women in Technology, DC Chapter WIT-DC is a community of local professionals that believe in making it easier for women to imagine, begin and develop a career in IT.
