We are pleased to announce the availability of ExpressRoute monitoring with Network Performance Monitor (NPM) in Azure Government Cloud-Virginia. Check out what the new capability can do for you below:

Overview

You can now monitor end-to-end connectivity and performance between your branch offices and Azure, over Azure ExpressRoute. Key advantages are:

  • Monitor loss and latency across various VNets and set alerts
  • Monitor all paths (including redundant paths) on the network
  • Troubleshoot transient and point-in-time network issues that are difficult to replicate
  • Help determine a specific segment on the network that is responsible for degraded performance
  • Get throughput per virtual network*
  • See the ExpressRoute system state from a previous point in time

Getting Started

To start using ExpressRoute Monitor in NPM, you will need to install (software) agents on each side of the ExpressRoute circuit (i.e., on-premises, Azure VNETs). The links below, should help you get started:

 * The capability to get throughput per virtual network will be available within the next 2 weeks.
