Today, at the Microsoft Government Tech Summit, we announced that Frame is available in Azure Government. Frame enables our customers to deploy a secure Desktop-as-a-Service (DaaS) capability without the high cost of on-premises Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI); and Frame Government Edition enhances that capability with the ability to deploy to the government cloud with the leading number of security accreditations – Microsoft Azure Government.
Frame customers will just need a web browser to utilize graphics intensive applications hosted in Azure Government and backed by our NV series virtual machines. An expensive high-end workstation is no longer required. Customers can also simplify the user experience by adding Frame applications to a user’s Office 365 app launcher.
Jason Holloway, head of Public Sector for Frame, said, "Frame Platform Government Edition provides an enterprise-ready virtualization solution that makes it easy to migrate and manage Windows desktop applications in the cloud. Making the Frame platform available on Azure Government represents a major milestone in the journey to bring our market-leading commercial platform to the public sector.”
