Run remote applications anytime anywhere with Frame for Azure Government

Steve Downs

Today, at the Microsoft Government Tech Summit, we announced that Frame is available in Azure Government. Frame enables our customers to deploy a secure Desktop-as-a-Service (DaaS) capability without the high cost of on-premises Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI); and Frame Government Edition enhances that capability with the ability to deploy to the government cloud with the leading number of security accreditations – Microsoft Azure Government.

Frame customers will just need a web browser to utilize graphics intensive applications hosted in Azure Government and backed by our NV series virtual machines. An expensive high-end workstation is no longer required. Customers can also simplify the user experience by adding Frame applications to a user’s Office 365 app launcher.

Jason Holloway, head of Public Sector for Frame, said, “Frame Platform Government Edition provides an enterprise-ready virtualization solution that makes it easy to migrate and manage Windows desktop applications in the cloud. Making the Frame platform available on Azure Government represents a major milestone in the journey to bring our marketleading commercial platform to the public sector.”

Be sure to check out Frame’s announcement for more details and to learn how to request access.

You can also watch my recent interview with David Reber, Director of Security & Solutions, for more insight on Frame’s offering along with demos of interest to government users.
