Azure Content Spotlight - Azure Monitor

Welcome to another Azure Content Spotlight! These articles are used to highlight items in Azure that could be more visible to the Azure community.

The Azure Portal has recently been updated to provide a more comprehensive view of resources: Azure Monitor.  The monitor is available as a new tab: and provides a centralized view of Activity Logs, Metrics and Diagnostics Logs as well as a means of managing Alerts.  Combined with Application Insights and Microsoft Operations Management Suite (OMS), Azure Monitor greatly increases the visibility and control of Azure Resources.
