Welcome to another Azure Content Spotlight! These articles are used to highlight items in Azure that could be more visible to the Azure community.

With this post I want to talk about Azure Search. It is a fully managed search-as-a-service. It allows you to pair your website or apps with sophisticated search capabilities. For the developer, it provides a .NET SDK and it exposes REST API calls that can be consumed easily. It removes the complexity of creating your own service, while providing you with the tools you need to analyze your metrics.

For ways on how to get started with Azure Search, you can view this introductory page on the TechNet Wiki that was written by Sriram Sundarasan: Overview of Azure Search.

For more in-depth information on the product and for how to consume it within your apps, check out the Azure Search Documentation center. You can also find a lot of useful videos through Channel 9.
