Apps for Android phone and iPhone are updated and are now available worldwide

This update features a complete UI refresh and adds category and merchant fields to the expense capture page.

These fields will allows you to select an applicable category for your expenses e.g. Taxi, Hotel, etc. Once you choose a category, you will then be able to enter the name of merchant you used, or select one from a list, if your company has one configured for the selected category.

We also released the apps (in English) to all markets worldwide.   We're working on localized versions for a future update.

With this update, we aimed to improve the usability and performance of the app, and add functionality that we hope our customers will find useful!

You can download the Dynamics AX apps from Google play and iTunes.

    Hello Kyle,

I have been following up your blogs since may13. I have been struggling to setup the mobile apps in our environment. Could you please help me ?

Things that I have not done

            1. Not configured the windows azure configuration in AX 2012 because I felt the mobile connector is responsible for all traffic

    Things that are done

                     1. Approval Service in AX 2012  is running

                     2. Mobile Connector is started with the Azure Namespace

                     3. From one of your old windows phone mobile apps , I started to debug and saw that the authentication goes through but it says the "The message with Action 'samples.microsoft.com/…/CreateExpense& cannot be processed at the receiver, due to a ContractFilter mismatch at the EndpointDispatcher. This may be because of either a contract mismatch (mismatched Actions between sender and receiver) or a binding/security mismatch between the sender and the receiver.  Check that sender and receiver have the same contract and the same binding (including security requirements, e.g. Message, Transport, None)."

I examined the AIF History and exceptions , there is no entry at all.

So I understand there is an update to the mobile App. Now in my phone , I try the new windows mobile App and it errors out. Is there a sample application that is there to troubleshoot this along with the latest source code ?  YOUR HELP is much appreciated ! awaiting your response

  2. Krishna,

Thanks for this comment.   If you use the most current version of the WP app, it has a better means to view error messages.  Can you contact me directly so we can assist with debugging your issue?

    Thanks!!

    Kyle

    Hi Kyle,

I am trying to find out few things. Can you help me on this?

    1. Does the AX app available on Android and iPhone platform support only Expense Creation or Approval as well?

    2. If the Android/iOS apps donot support Expense approval, is there a 2nd app for approval? I believe, for Windows stores, there are different apps for creation and approval of expense
