Mixing ammonia is a fascinating but potentially dangerous process. The teachers at Ormiston College in Queensland have created a virtual science lab using Mosaic and Office365 to help Year 12 students run real life chemistry experiments in a safe and collaborative environment.
Impressive results have been achieved, but the true success is the real data that students can collect and analyse from their experiments. The students are then able to make hypothetical business decisions and share their results on the community discussion board to learn from each other’s key findings.
