We’re four weeks out from kicking off Microsoft Australia Partner Conference (APC) 2015 and I’m confident it’s going to the biggest and best APC yet.
A lot of work goes in to bringing our partners a great experience and huge value from the week and I’m conscious that it’s a huge investment of time and money in attending. This year, the team has worked tirelessly to create an APC which delivers on our promise to “Connect to Opportunity”.
APC this year has something for all partners – no matter what size your company or how you use our technologies to drive your business. I wanted to share four new elements of APC 2015 and how we’re thinking differently about this year.
Microsoft as a Platform for Your Innovation
We love great technology. Everyone loves to see the latest product innovations and what’s coming next and APC is always a great opportunity to us to show our partners the pipeline of innovation coming in the year and years ahead. Windows 10, Surface Hub, GigJam, HoloLens, were all on show at the Worldwide Partner Conference in Orlando a few weeks ago and we’ll be bringing some great demos to APC this year.
More importantly we’ll look at the Microsoft product innovation as platforms for partners to build unique IP, services and offerings on top of. We’ll show how local partners are building new innovation and products on top of products like Office 365, Dynamics CRM Online and Microsoft Azure. While the current trend of moving customers to the cloud is driving some great opportunity, preparing for what’s next is critical and at APC we’ll show you real examples of partners already capitalising in this space.
At the core, APC is about understanding and capturing the business opportunity around Microsoft technology. We’re clear that your focus is on building a sustainable and profitable business model around key vendors like Microsoft and we need to give you the practical advice that really helps.
This year we have keynotes from thought leaders like Phil Sorgen, Tiffani Bova and Brent Combest who will talk about the transformation of the technology channel. We also have a dedicated track on Business Transformation called Business Growth featuring speakers like Harold Horgen, covering topics on productising your IP, raising capital and the impact of cloud business models on your P&L.
We know many of you are already on the journey to modern marketing – using a content based approach to your customer conversations and building unique and compelling content. This year at APC we have a new dedicated track to help you continue to evolve in this area featuring speakers from ADMA, Twitter, LinkedIn and HubSpot. So, if improving your customer interactions and acquisition is a key focus then we’ll have the content and thought leaders to help you.
It’s also worth considering who you’re bringing to APC this year and adding the right marketing role from your company so they can benefit from the great content and networking with their industry peers.
New Opportunities to Network
Networking with Microsoft staff and industry peers and friends is one of the top reasons people come to APC. It’s the largest IT industry partner event in Australia and a great way to build new business relationships. Outside of the keynote and track sessions we know you want ways to interact with speakers and experts in a way that’s meaningful to your business. So, this year we’re adding two new types of sessions.
In Conversation Roundtables are designed for small group discussions with speakers on a range of topics in an environment where you can discuss topics which are top of mind for your business and hear directly from some of the industry’s thought leaders. These sessions are limited to 20 people and will book quickly so now’s a great time to register and secure your place. If you want to discuss the realities of Cloud Security with James Kavanagh or understand what some of Australia’s biggest companies look for in an acquisition then these sessions you won’t want to miss.
Masterclasses are highly motivating, 90 minute sessions open to everyone attending APC 2015. You’ll have direct access to guest speakers and be able to delve into core areas that support your business growth.
From these sessions, you’ll come away with a constructive action plan designed to take and implement into your business. With great ideas, insights, and hands-on advice, this year’s Masterclasses are must attend and are again limited in numbers so make sure you book early and secure your spot.
It’s shaping up to be the biggest and best APC yet – hope you can join us on the Gold Coast in four weeks’ time.
