Dynamics (AX) Worldwide Microsoft Dynamics Partner Strategy Updates

In July at WPC we announced the availability of Microsoft Dynamics AX on Enterprise Agreements in Volume Licensing. This provides new sales opportunities for Dynamics partners that they have not seen in the past, which is evidenced by the success of CRM on volume licensing where more than 50% of CRM revenue comes from customers with Enterprise Agreements. We also see this as opening the way for substantial upsell/cross-sell opportunities with Enterprise customers that already own our CRM products or any enterprise-focused Microsoft stack solutions. We truly believe that the entry of AX into Enterprise Agreements will drive new incremental revenue for Microsoft and our SI, VAR, and LAR partners.

In September we announced modifications to the July announcements. These changes are a direct result of feedback, analysis, and vetting from our partners and are designed to help partners transition to the new models. We will now provide partners 16 months to transition to the final CSA fee level for Microsoft Dynamics AX on Enterprise Agreements. We believe this 16 month period will provide our partners with enough time to transition to a more balanced selling and services model to drive growth for Microsoft Dynamics AX on Enterprise Agreements.
