Having the latest software for a small startup is key, the inital outlay can be expensive.  With the assistance of Microsoft BizSpark, I was able to build the product quickly with the right tools and allocate finances and time to Legals to speed up the launch date.

No need for tights and cape here…

    Faster than a speeding ticket….

More powerful than any a 286…..

Able to leap technical requirements in a single instance.

    Look, on the net.

It saves time, it saves money, it’s AZURE!

  3. The Microsoft Partner program has enabled our business to rapidly expand in a focused manner. The power of the Microsoft brand and our association with it through our competencies give our customers assurances that we’re aspiring to the same goals that Microsoft are in terms of quality and user experience.

  4. Without a doubt the opportunity to access Demonstration and Training use licensing has been a key driver for our own internal development across the Microsoft Platform.  By running through test labs we have been able to quickly build experience with new product platforms so we are ready to go when they match our customers needs.  In addition we have made extensive use of the demonstration platform to allow us to quickly build showcase solutions which demonstrate our "ubiquitous computing" experience to customers.

  6. Having access to the Partner Network and MSDN has allowed us to stay ahead of our customers…which is extremely important when you have to work in heterogeneous environments and must make sure your software works with theirs.

  7. Ryan Poynting says:

Joining the Microsoft Partner program with the action pack last year has really helped our small business. The office used to have a variety of different software across the machines. Now we have access with full support to all the latest products, all the systems have the same consistent software on all our machines. Microsoft really have a great partner community when it comes to troubleshooting on the newest products this is great reference for resolving all our IT issues. We have just renewed another year and will continue in the future AAA+

  8. The Microsoft Partner benefits helps us change our IT technicians from being good technicians to Great technicians. From the action pack and cloud essentials internal use licensing, allowing our technicians to test new software internally before promoting them to clients, to the constantly expanding and improving support, allowing our technicians to get solutions to problems fast and improve their skills. The Microsoft Partner Network benefits gives our company a competitive advantage in the SMB market place.

  9. Chris Jeffery (CyberGuru) says:

I have found numerous benefits being part of the Microsoft Partner Network, however most recently I have been studying for the "Configuring Windows 7" certification to obtain the Microsoft Desktop Competency for my business. I have found the resources contained within the Partner Learning Centre most useful in my preparation.

  10. Becoming a Microsoft partner has opened the door to cloud computing for many of our customers and we are taking advantage of the opportunities presented by Microsoft Online Services to upsell from our traditional telco product line.

  11. Our key partner and action pack benefit is the ability to test new server and workstation software / operating systems, prior to installing new software onto clients’ new systems, allows us to portray expertise without any deployment issues to maximise future sales and hands-on training at the same time.

  12. Troy Phillips (ZettaServe) says:

ZettaServe have been a long time gold certified partner – we really appreciate the technical support, the license benefits and, most importantly as a service provider, the additional recognition from our clients (and potential clients). There is definitely an awareness in the market of the benefits of working with a service provider that is a gold certified partner.

  13. The Microsoft Partner benefits are excellent for IT specialists to not only support us in difficult situations with the forums and ability to contact directly but also help to broaden our IT expertise and tools to bring on the table when implementing solutions to clients. Using the benefits with the Cloud Essentials Pack, we are expanding our business to public cloud solutions and also currently improving our skills with Dynamic CRM to give us the opportunity to provide CRM solutions to our clients.

  14. Sysware Group says:

All benefits are useful (to most) at different times.  One of the more recent additions, Pinpoint, is a great idea to bring the potentials (customers and partners) together within the same sphere. Send the Windows phone this way since I have enough complaints about the Iphone anyway.

All these comments are inspiring!  Keep them coming, and also please do not hesitate to send me any suggestions you have on what we could do in the Partner Team here at Microsoft to help your business.  My email address is bvlandis@microsoft.com.  All ideas are good ideas!

We are a Microsoft Partner with a Gold Competency and have benefited greatly from leveraging the Microsoft Cloud campaigns allowing us to find new clients and migrate existing clients ensuring we maintain our existing accounts and win new ones. Our clients have been delighted to migrate from in house Exchange Servers to hosted solutions. What a great product offering to add to our range of solutions.

  17. Dean Calvert says:

With Microsoft being a key vendor in our solution offerings to our clients, being a member of the MPN not only demonstrates to our clients we take the relationship seriously, but it also sends this message back to Microsoft. Having a higher than registered member level also reinforces this to Microsoft and makes it easier to have real "meat and potatos" conversations with Microsoft about growing our businesses together. The resources available to us within the MPN website are fantastic as is our access to internal use software licences. I wouldn't ever consider not being a member of the MPN.

  18. Gus Mileto says:

We have used MS Support team on a number of complex Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP, Dynamics AX) presales tasks where our regular staff were just too loaded with live work to assist. Truth be told, we found the MS support much more pro-active and didn't give that initial *Sigh* everytime sales ask for help of a solution specialist for pre-sales demos!

We will always consider utilising this as a valued partner resource for many projects to come!

  19. We have been a Microsoft Certified Partner since Bill Gates came to Australia, I think that was 2002. There are many benefits but I think the standout is the backing of a first-class support team. We have never used all five incidents in a year but I cannot recall any single incident that was not worth more to us than the annual partner fee.  Send the Windows Phone 7 to us, guys. We will use it to develop an equivalent app to the one we are about to release on iphone and android.

  20. Alex Nosiara says:

The best thing about  the Partner Network is the incredible resource of knowledge and help available to all the partners. In the increasingly complex world of IT, getting help from your peers to quickly resolve issues with your customers makes you, in their eyes, like gold. A highly sought after resource, well worth the cost involved.

  21. David Compton says:

We've joined up to the BizSpark program and have found the combination of software benefits, training days, PinPoint market place and support from Microsoft staff to be a major help and encouragement in the process of getting our first software product developed and launched.
