Confused about the new Visual Studio 2010 levels and your benefits?

The Partner Hotline have received some calls from Partners who have questions about the new Visual Studio levels and their software benefits AND Certified Partners with the ISV or Custom Development Competency who are unable to download Visual Studio 2010 Premium from MSDN Subscriber Downloads. 

1)  Microsoft Certified Partners with an ISV and/or Custom Development competency are currently mapped to the Visual Studio Professional level of MSDN and are not able to download Visual Studio 2010 Premium from MSDN Subscriber Downloads:

If you are a Microsoft Certified Partner with either the ISV or Custom Development competency – you are able to download Visual Studio 2010 Premium from the Partner Digital Distribution Portal. 

2) Some Partners do not understand the level of benefits they are provided with through their Microsoft Partner Network licensing:

Gold Certified Partners and Certified Partners with either an ISV or Custom Development competency receive Visual Studio 2010 Premium with MSDN.  We have a presentation located here - https://partner.microsoft.com/global/40121025 on the Partner Portal - this provides details of MSDN version and benefits.
