Iain’s view on the Value of Certifications:

“ Certification has really made me stand out from the crowd and let me validate my own understanding of the technologies I use day to day. It has helped me fast track my career from developer in a very small team,
through to Tech Lead for web / ecommerce of department of a major health industry company. With a WCF certification on my resume I was getting up to 5-6 calls a day with job offers. I could literally take my pick.

… prove to yourself and the people who rely on you that have and broad and in-depth understanding of what your doing. but certification isn't just about validating your skills to others, it's part of your learning progression. The certification process is targeted and specific to the technologies your using, and the process of going through certifications will always make you stronger and more aware of those technologies. Nothing to loose and very much to gain by being certified. I know it was the best decision of my career.”
