Role: Infrastructure Specialist
Certifications: Microsoft Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician, Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist, Microsoft Certified IT Professional
In His Own Words “Having Certifications has helped me not only in my IT Career, but personally, in a way that words cannot describe. From starting out as a simple technical support specialist 9 years ago, to managing a global network and network infrastructure now, I know for a fact that I would not be where I am if it wasn't for certifications. ““Certifications have helped me cross over that line in those tight recruitment decisions and has boosted my confidence as well, as passing an exam/certification proves not only to the IT world that you're qualified for the job, but it proves it to yourself personally that you've done it, you know how to do it, you're qualified to do it.”"Yes, throughout your career, you will come across many people in managerial positions higher than you that will tell you, what for, and why bother, and certifications do not mean anything to me, but this is all normal talk and in my experience, it has come back to bite them by eventually realising that the current staff they have employed, which of who are not certified, do not know how to do the respective task that was assigned to them whereby the employee with the certification does and easily as well.”“Being Certified, places you on another level and the respect you receive from colleagues is again of another level. People look up to you as their mentor, they ask you questions, and they feel like they can learn from you.”
