Microsoft Partner Network Update!

Earlier today “The Value of Earning a Microsoft Competency – Summary Guide” was posted to the Microsoft Portal. This guide provides a preview and general overview about how to earn competencies and how they can differentiate your business. The full version of “The Value of Earning a Microsoft Competency Guide” will be posted early next week.

At a high level the table below is a summary for the majority of the Competency and Advanced Competency requirements. I would like to take this opportunity to remind you that Competency and Advanced Competency area’s within the Microsoft Partner Network do not equal Gold Certified and Certified Partner levels today.

2 Partners can attain multiple competencies. Your employees or contractors who pass the applicable competency exams are eligible toward multiple competencies.

3 Partners can attain multiple advanced competencies. Your employees or contractors who pass the applicable advanced competency exams are only eligible toward one advanced competency. A person who has attained a Master or Architect Certification qualifies for two Microsoft Certified Professionals with advanced credentials.

4 Application compatibility refers to products or applications that pass Microsoft hardware or software sets. Product tests vary by competency.

5 Requirements vary by competency.

6 You may use customer references from your competency toward your advanced competency.
