New Re-enrolment Requirement for Gold Certified Partners

I would just like to remind all the Gold Partners reading my blog that starting in October 2009, Microsoft partners re-enrolling at the Gold Certified level will need to have participated in CSAT (or Metrics that Matter for CPLS partners) and have received at least 10 survey responses.

Timelines:

  • Partners re-enrolling starting in October 2009 must meet this requirement.
  • Partners need to participate in CSAT in a survey period prior to their anniversary date - therefore partners who have an October – December anniversary date have only two survey periods remaining in which to participate.
  • Partners who re-enrol before October 2009 will not be required to meet the CSAT requirement this year.

Q. I am a Gold Certified partner and my renewal is in December - when should I participate in CSAT?

A.  You must participate in a CSAT survey period before the quarter in which your renewal occurs. Therefore if your renewal is in December, you have two survey periods remaining in which to participate:  April-June or July-September 2009.

Q. Will Gold Certified partners be required to do CSAT annually to maintain their Gold Certified Partner Status?

A. Yes, Gold Certified partners must participate in CSAT at least once a year and receive 10 responses.

Q. Can CPLS partners meet the CSAT requirement by participating in Metrics that Matter (MTM) instead of CSAT Index surveys?

A. Yes, CPLS partners can continue to use MTM and this will count towards the CSAT requirement.

Q. Do we need to complete 10 surveys before October 2009 or before our renewal date?

A. You need to receive 10 responses in a survey period/quarter prior to the quarter in which your renewal occurs. For example, if your Anniversary Date in Q4 2009 (October – December), you must participate no later than July–September 2009.

Q. Do the surveys need to be completed in the quarter prior to the quarter in which my renewal date is? For example, our renewal is March 31, 2010 - so do we need to participate by Q4 2009?

A. Yes, CSAT surveys must be completed in a survey period/quarter prior to the quarter in which your Anniversary Date occurs. If your renewal is in March 2010, you can participate now or no later than Oct-Dec (Q4) 2009.

Q. Our renewal is in July. Do we have to participate this year or can we wait till next year?

A. If your renewal is in July 2009, you will not be required to participate when you re-enrol this year. However, we encourage you to start participating in CSAT now so that you are ready for your next renewal in 2010.

Q. If a partner’s renewal is in December 2009 but they renew early, before October, does this partner have to participate in CSAT?

A. No, if you renew early before October 2009, you will not be required to participate in CSAT until next year.
