I was having a catch-up with my manager last week and we started talking about the blog. Probably due to the fact that I've been "discussing" my workload with her, she was quick to challenge me on starting up a new project. After all, does the world really need another blog? And what's going to be the point of this one?
My first answer was to show her the strap-line for the blog. "But how is that more than Tips & Tricks?" she countered.
"Because we're really using Office - and we're going to tell it like it is. If we talk about a feature, it's because it's made a positive difference to our working day. And rather than just saying what a particular product can do, we'll explain why something helps.
"We want what everyone wants: to get ahead at work and to get home on time, so we'll be sharing our experiences of how Office 2007 is helping us get better results.
"And we're not going to shy away from pointing out the bad stuff!"
And with that, she seemed happy. Hope you are too.
