Links to Media Center add-in download locations

I've found a couple of links that contain lists of available add-ins for Media Center 2005 that I wanted to post here for folks to take a look at.  I have been trying to get more familiar with the types of applications that folks are writing to extend Media Center functionality, but I haven't gotten to evaluate/experiment as much as I'd like to yet.  I decided to get started by collecting links to different add-in repository sites and then expand from there.  If you get a chance, please check out the permalink to my add-in repository article.

If you come across any links that you think I should add, please post a comment or contact me directly and I will evaluate them and add them if they look interesting.

my problem is that my antivirus finds a high risk level potential threat with the related bulletin MS05-004, so what can i do to remove it?

  2. Hi George – I’m not sure I understand your issue here. Do you have MS05-004 installed and your anti-virus software reports that this patch is a threat? Or is it saying that you have a threat and need to install MS05-004? Also, what anti-virus software are you using, and have you updated the software and signatures recently?

Yes only my antivirus software reports that this is a threat, i dont now either what MS05-004 is and i cannot find it anywhere in my pc. One day while i was download-ing a videoclip my computer turned off unexpectedly and since then i found this threat. My antivirus is the PC-cillin and yes i have updated the software recently..

  4. Hi George – MS05-004 is a security bulletin that addresses a vulnerability in the .NET Framework. If you have the .NET Framework 1.0 or 1.1 installed, you should be offered this package if you visit Windows Update. You can also download and install it directly from this location – http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/results.aspx?freetext=security_patch&productID=C9C8FCFB-BFF3-40CA-B59D-216F6850000A&DisplayLang=en (you will need to install the appropriate version of the patch based on what OS you are running and what version of the .NET Framework you have)
