Visual Studio .NET 2002 SP1 is now available for download

I just noticed that Visual Studio .NET 2002 service pack 1 is now available for download.  You can download it by clicking here.  Here is some important supplemental information:

One important thing to keep in mind here is that the setup wrapper package for this Visual Studio .NET 2002 service pack is the same wrapper that is used for .NET Framework service packs.  So it is susceptible to the same class of problems that customers have been seeing installing .NET Framework service packs and hotfixes.  A couple of my previous blog posts give more information and troubleshooting tips in case you run into any issues (click here or here to go directly to them).

As always let me know if you run into any issues installing this Visual Studio service pack or have any comments/questions.

How about Visual Studio .NET 2003?

  2. I don’t have a lot of visibility into the Visual Studio service pack planning, but I know that it is in progress. I don’t have an ETA however. There has already been a service pack for the .NET Framework 1.1, which is the version of the .NET runtime that ships with VS 2003. If you find issues with VS .NET 2003 I encourage you to report them back to Microsoft via email, Product Support, documentation feedback links that appear at the bottom of the help docs, or the feedback center at http://lab.msdn.microsoft.com/productfeedback/. I know that the feedback center says it is for VS 2005, but any feedback about other versions of Visual Studio and the .NET Framework will be routed appropriately by the product teams.

  3. Dear Sir,

Can you please inform me from where I can download Visual Studio .NET 2003 SP1.

    Thanks & Regards,
