Why not try Windows XP Embedded?

Hey all, Mike Hall wrote up a really good article while I was out on vacation listing some of the common reasons we have heard from customers about why they did not want to consider using Windows CE and/or Windows XP Embedded.  It is a really good read if you have any doubts or questions about specific features or supported scenarios for either or these OSs.  Take a look at it by clicking here.

  1. Hi Frederick, I’m not sure I understand your question. What does "doc of a processor" mean in this case? In general, Windows XP Embedded can be scaled up or down to fit the size required for your scenarios. There are some features of the OS that take up more space than others, but depending on what scenarios you are trying to accomplish, you can remove some of the larger features in order to fit onto smaller-footprint devices.
