More Windows 8 Events in Germany

As promised here is an update on the events for Windows 8 Metro app development in Germany. The team around Oliver Scheffert has put up an MSDN site that explains the process how to get your app in the Windows store before the final version of Windows is released. What a great opportunity for all app developers out there! Imagine having one of the first apps in the store…

The development events are vast: introduction events, more in-depth events and even Hackathons.

By the way – similar programs are also running outside of Germany. Just get in contact with your local Microsoft Developer Platform Evangelist – I am sure that they can help you.

    Hi,

Thanks for your posts. I've got a little  problem: your blog post blogs.msdn.com/…/popup-placement-in-xaml-winrt-metro.aspx on Popup placement in WinRT XAML isn't reachable anymore. Could you please re-open it or send it per mail to "mjcoolj äht gmx.de"? This woul be great!

    Thanks in advance,

    Matthias

  2. I'd love to see the post that Matthias mentions also regarding popup placement

My colleague Tim Heuer has put the popup placement for XAML-based apps in a library, see github.com/…/callisto.
