Experiencing Data Access Issue in Azure Portal for live metrics – 10/20 – Resolved

We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 10/20, 21:00 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 10/20, 19:08 UTC and that during the 1 hour 52 min that it took to resolve the issue all customers would experience errors while viewing Live Metric Stream data.
  • Root Cause: The failure was due to configuration issues with one of the backend service.

We understand that customers rely on Application Insights as a critical service and apologize for any impact this incident caused.
