Experiencing Data Access Issue in Azure Portal for Many Data Types – 09/18 – Resolved

We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 09/18, 21:50 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 09/18, 21:05 UTC and that during the 45 minutes that it took to resolve the issue customers would have experienced Data Access issues in Azure Portal. All Data Types were affected.

  • Root Cause: The failure was due to back-end service responsible for processing configuration data became unhealthy.

We are aware of issues within Application Insights and are actively investigating. All customers may experience Data Access Issue in Azure Portal. The following data types are affected: Availability,Customer Event,Dependency,Exception,Metric,Page Load,Page View,Performance Counter,Request,Trace.
