Experiencing Data Access issue in Azure portal for Many Data Types – 07/27 – Resolved

We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 07/27, 10:40 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 07/27, 10:05 UTC and that during the 35 minutes that it took to resolve the issue 6% of customers experienced loading Application Insights data in Azure and App Analytics portals.
  • Root Cause: Full RCA is still in progress, but preliminary RCA is pointing to issues in one of our backend services, which is responsible for data retrieval.
