Experiencing Data Access Issue in Azure Portal for Many Data Types – 06/15 – Resolved

We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 06/15, 10:25 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 06/15, 10:30 UTC and that during the 5 minutes that it took to resolve the issue around 11% of customers experienced errors loading Application Insights data in Azure and App Analytics portals.
  • Root Cause: The issue is due to issues in one of our backend services, which is responsible for data retrieval. 
  • Lessons Learned: The Complete RCA is pending with the backend team.
