Experiencing Data Access Issue in Azure Portal for Many Data Types – 03/08 – Resolved

We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 03/07, 22:24 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 03/07, 19:14 UTC and that during the 3 hours that it took to resolve the issue 5.8% of customers experienced errors, while accessing Application Insights blades in Azure portal.
  • Root Cause: The failure was due to incorrect configuration, which was applied to one of the Application Insights services.
  • Lessons Learned: Multiple repair items will be implemented to make sure this issue doesn't happen in the future.
