Experiencing Data Access Issue in Azure Portal for Many Data Types – 12/22 – Resolved

We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 12/22, 18:00 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 12/22, 15:20 UTC and that during the issue some customers experienced Failures in loading Application Insights Search data. 
  • Root Cause: The failure was due to High CPU situation in the one of backend cluster service. We have rebooted the impacted service to restore the service health.
  • Lessons Learned:  We collected the necessary logs from the impacted nodes for the further investigation.

We understand that customers rely on Application Insights as a critical service and apologize for any impact this incident caused.
