Experiencing Data Access Issue in Azure Portal for Many Data Types – 10/04 – Resolved

We’ve confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 10/04, 07:20 AM UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 10/04, 06:35 AM UTC and that during the 45 minutes that it took to resolve the issue approximately 7% of customers experienced experienced slowness in accessing Application Insights Data .
  • Root Cause: The failure was due to an issue in one of our dependent platform services.
  • Lessons Learned: We have collected required telemetry data during the impact period which we will utilize to avoid such re-occurrences in future.

We are aware of issues within Application Insights and are actively investigating. Some customers may experience Data Access Issue in Azure Portal. The following data types are affected: Customer Event,Dependency,Exception,Metric,Page Load,Page View,Performance Counter,Request,Trace.
