Experiencing Data Gaps for Live Metrics

We’ve confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 09/02, 05:10 AM UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 09/02, 04:00 AM UTC and that during the 1 hour 10 mins that it took to resolve the issue customers who used Live Metric Stream feature, wouldn’t be able to see their live metric stream data in Azure portal.

  • Root Cause: The failure was due to a configuration change to one of the back end services..
  • Lessons Learned: We have collected required telemetry data during the impact period which we will utilize to avoid such re-occurrences in future.
